A division bench of Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice N M Jamdar was hearing a petition filed by the School Bus Owners's Association seeking a stay on the new rules.
The Association had sought that the enforcement of the notification and the subsequent government resolution be deferred till the end of this year. It has asked the court to direct the transport department to grant permits and fitness certificates to school buses which were registered before March last year
