office as Superintendent of Police of Erode district
He was formerly Deputy Commissioner at Anna Nagar in Chennai.
Immediately on assuming the post, he held discussions with district police officials about the May 16 assembly election details and verified the list of candidates and constituencies in the district.
He declined to speak to mediapersons.
