: To meet the growing needs of Indian Naval ships here, a new 10-tonne bollard pull tug 'Bahadur' was inducted into service at the naval ship repair yard (NSRY) Thursday.
The induction ceremony was presided over by Rear Admiral RJ Nadkarni, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command, (SNC) in the presence of Rear Admiral SN Alamanda, VSM, Admiral Superintendent, NSRY, Kochi, and others, a Naval press release said.
The vessel has been designed and built at Hindustan Shipyard Ltd, Visakhapatnam, and has steerable rudder propulsion (SRP) with advanced remote control.
The NSRY provides technical (maintenance, repairs and refits) as well as services support to all the ships based here, the release said.
