New Zealand 78 for 7 at tea on day 3

New Zealand were 78 for seven in their second innings at tea on day three of the the first cricket Test against India at Eden Park, here today.

India, who began the day at overnight score of 130 for four, were all out for 202.

New Zealand decided against enforcing the follow-on on the Indian team.

New Zealand 1st innings: 503 and 78/7 in 35 overs (Ross Taylor 41; Mohammed Shami 3/33, Zaheer Khan 2/23).

India 1st innings: 202 all out in 60 overs. (Rohit Sharma 72, Ravindra Jadeja 30 not out; Neil Wagner 4/64, Trent Boult 3/38, Tim Southee 3/38).
