A newborn baby died within three hours of his birth allegedly due the negligence of a doctor in Faridabad, police said today.
The father of the newborn, Pawan Kumar, filed a complaint at police station Ballabgarh City Faridabad stating that three persons working at Baby Care Center in Nahar Singh Colony were responsible for the death and treating the baby in drunken condition, they said.
The baby was delivered by Pawan's 23-year-old wife yesterday at Mangla Nursing Home in Chawla Colony, Ballabgarh, Investigating Officer ASI Mahavir said.

The newborn was then taken to Baby Care Center where he died just after few hours, he added.
The body was sent for postmortem to find out the reason of death. His viscera have also been collected and samples sent for chemical examination, Mahavir said.
The officer said that whether the child has died due to wrong treatment can only be ascertained after receiving the report of chemical examination.
A case of negligence has been registered against Dr. Deepak Garg, Dr. Ashish Gupta and an unidentified person of their nursing home, under section 304A of IPC (causing death by negligence) and the police have started their procedural examination of the case.
