Newly-wed couple found dead; police suspect honour killing

In a suspected case of honour killing, a newly wed couple were today found dead with injury marks over their bodies in Fatehgarh area here.

The bodies of Rajni (24) and her husband Durgesh (30) were found from the house of her father, police said.

While Rajni's body was found hanging from the fan, Durgesh's was lying on the floor. Both the bodies bore injury marks, they said.

The bodies have been sent for post mortem and prima facie, it appears that the family of the girl might have killed the two, police sources said.

While the youth's family has lodged an FIR against five members of Rajni's family including her father, Rajni's family alleged that Durgesh killed their daughter.

The investigation in the matter is on, police said.
