Newspaper reporter drowns at Arippara waterfalls

A reporter of a vernacular daily today drowned at Arippara waterfalls near Kodencherry, about 42 km from here, police said.

Jibin (30), who visited the waterfalls along with his friends, was caught in the strong current when he was taking bath and drowned, police said.

Jibin was working with the "Deepika" newspaper.

The body was handed over to his relatives after post-mortem at Kozhikode Medical College hospital, police said.
