NFR to run special trains to clear Puja rush

The North East Frontier Railway will run special trains to Bangalore, Pune and Gorakhpur to meet the rise in demand of berths by passengers during the Puja vacations.

NF Railway will run 14 trips of 'Suvidha' Weekly special trains between Kamakhya station to Bangalore Cantonment station every Tuesday from October 13 and back from Bangalore Cantonment station every Friday from October 16, a release issued by the NF Railway said here today.

The train will run via Goalpara Town, New Jalpaiguri, Rampurhat, Howrah, Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada and Chennai Central both ways.

There will be 16 trips of "Superfast Puja Special" trains between Kamakhya to Pune every Monday from October five and during return journey will leave Pune station every Thursday from October eight.
 

The train will run via Goalpara Town, New Jalpaiguri, Rampurhat, Asansol, Bilaspur, Nagpur, Nasik and Panvel both ways.

There will be six trips of puja specials from Guwahati to Gorakhpur and another six trips from Gorakhpur to Guwahati to clear the Puja rush leaving every Friday from October 16 and during return journey the train will leave Gorakhpur every Saturday from October 17.

The train will run via Goalpara Town, New Coochbehar, Barsoi, Katihar, Hajipur, Siwan on both ways.

An additional 1st AC cum 2nd AC coach will be added on permanent basis in the 15909/15910 Avadh Assam Express running between New Tinsukia and Lalgarh with effect from Septemmber 7 from New Tinsukia, the release added.
