NGO submits memorandum to State Coordinator of NRC

An NGO has submitted a memorandum to the State Coordinator of National Registration (NRC) demanding inclusion of Muslims and other communities in Assam's Barak Valley as original inhabitants in the National Register of Citizens.

Minority Welfare Society(MWS), an NGO of Barak Valley Muslims living in Guwahati submitted the memorandum to Prateek Hajela, state coordinator of NRC.

The memorandum was singed by MSW president Muktar Hussain Ahmed, general secretary Abdul Waris Choudhury, vice president Jiyauddin Choudhury, its advisor and historian Ali Haidar Laskar.
