The NGO, Naz Foundation today said it will file a review petition in the Supreme Court for re-examination of the verdict declaring as valid the penal provision prohibiting gay sex among consenting adults.
"We are disappointed with the judgement. We think the judgement is not correct in law. We will take appropriate legal recourse," senior advocate Anand Grover, who argued the case for the NGO Naz Foundation, said after the verdict was pronounced.
"We will file a review petition against today's verdict," he said, adding if the need arose "we will also go for curative petition and we have got a very good case on constitutional principle".

Parliament is the sole repository of authority to decide and it is not for the court to do it, he said.
Sharan also said, "What has been done in other countries cannot be determinative of what has to be done in India which is a sovereign country.
