The Uttarakhand High Court today vacated the stay on the arrest of special land acquisition officer DP Singh, who is an accused in the NH-74 scam.
Irregularities running into crores of rupees were earlier reported in the procurement of land for National-Highway 74 in Udham Singh Nagar district.
The HC had earlier stayed the officer's arrest in the case after he had filed a plea for quashing of charges against him.
However, after an in-depth hearing on the plea today, Justice VK Bisht vacated the stay, Deputy Advocate General Sandeep Tandon said.
