NHAI awards Rs 2,845-cr proj in UP to Dilip Buildcon

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) today said it has awarded a Rs 2,845 crore project in Uttar Pradesh to Dilip Buildcon.

"The NHAI has issued Letter of Award (LOA) for...Four-laning of Lucknow-Sultanpur Section from km 11.5 to km 134.7 of NH-56 127 km" to Dilip Buildcon, NHAI said in a statement.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2,845 crore, it said.

The 127-km long stretch between Lucknow and Sultanpur transverses through important districts of state capital, neihbouring Barabanki, Raebareli and Sultanpur.

The project will have construction of one major bridge, 13 major bridges, 1 Railway Over Bridge, 259 culverts, 4 vehicular underpasses, 6 cattle/pedestrian underpasses, 43 Bus Bays, 2 truck lay byes and 32 km long bypasses at Jagdishpur, Mushafirkhana, Aliganj and Shabaganj/Badaunkalan.
 

"The project shall be executed on Hybrid Annuity mode and completed in 30 months from the date of commencement of the project," it said.

Development of the section would reduce the travel time from Lucknow to holy city of Varanasi and promote tourism in the region.
