State-run NHPC has restored Unit-2 of its Chutak power station in Jammu and Kashmir, which was shut down in October last year due to sudden increase in water levels at the plant.
Unit-2 of Chutak Power Station in Jammu and Kashmir which was completely shutdown due to problem in water parts from October 25, 2015 started power generation on February 4, 2016, NHPC said in a regulatory filing.

The US, in particular was the source of a lot of growth in 2015, which indicates that smartphone battery life is a shared pain point between users in emerging and developed markets, it added.

Renaissance Jewellery Q3 net profit down 13.3% at Rs 17.44 cr * Renaissance Jewellery today posted a 13.3 per cent drop in net profit at Rs 17.44 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal on poor sales.
The city-based company had clocked a net profit of Rs 20.12 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a BSE filing.
The company's net profit fell as total sales were down at Rs 367.38 crore in the October-December period of the 2015-16 fiscal, as against Rs 421.14 crore in the year-ago period.
Tax expenses also remained high in the said period.
The jewellery firm's scrip rose by 6.21 per cent to close at Rs 142 a piece on NSE today.
IAMAI partners Telangana govt to setup Mobile 10X Hub
* The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) today said it has inked an agreement with Telangana's state-run incubator to set up a capability building centre for mobile app development (Mobile10X).
The partnership will enable creation of a structured programme and allocating physical zones for specific support for each stage of app development, IAMAI said in a statement.
As per plan, IAMAI will also select five app startups from the state and nurture them to produce world-class apps, it added.

PTC commissions 20 MW wind power project in MP * PTC Energy Limited (PEL) today said it has commissioned 20 MW wind power project at Nipaniya, Mandsaur District of Madhya Pradesh.
The PEL's Nipaniya project comprises of 10 Inox made wind turbine generators of 2 MW capacity each.
With this, a total of 50 MW wind power capacity has been commissioned by PEL in Madhya Pradesh within the Financial year 2015-16, the company said in a statement.

* Chinese smart device maker LeEco today said that it has got 1 lakh registrations in first 24 hours of opening process for its Le 1s Eco smartphone, priced at Rs 9,999 apiece.
"This (Le 1s Eco) new superphone has received such a tremendous response from users securing 1,00,000 registrations on Flipkart in 24 hour," LeEco COO for Smart Devices Atul Jain said in a statement.
The phone will be sold on May 12 with LeEco Membership Program that will give users access to watch over 2,000 videos available with its content partners, 100 live TV channels, 5 terabyte cloud storage space among others.

Netflix offers new tools for users to consume lesser data * Content streaming service Netflix today launched new tools to let users watch movies and TV shows on its platform consuming lesser data and avoid paying hefty charges.
The US-based company, which has over 81 million users in over 190 countries, said the default setting on the platform will enable users to stream about three hours of TV shows and movies per gigabyte (GB) of data.
"Our testing found that, on cellular networks, this setting balances good video quality with lower data usage to help avoid exceeding data caps and incurring overage fees," Netflix Director Product Innovation Eddy Wu said in blogpost.

Idea customers can now pay for Google apps through phone bill * Customers of Idea Cellular can now opt to pay for applications they purchase from Google Play on their device through their phone bill, under a partnership agreement signed between the two companies.
Customers whether on a post-paid plan or pre-paid plan can purchase any application or in-app feature on the Google Play Store and charge the cost directly to their existing phone credit. Users Google Play purchases will be deducted from their monthly bill or prepaid balance with Idea Cellular.

Unbxd gets undisclosed amount of capital in Series 'B' funding * Unbxd, a city based provider ofeCommerce product discovery software, today said it has secured an undisclosed amount of capital in the Series B round of funding.
The funding was led by entities advised and managed by Nirvana Venture Advisors, along with existing investors, including IDG Ventures, Inventus Capital and Indian Angel Network, Unbxd said in a release.
