State-run NHPC today said its 120 MW Sewa-ll Power Station in Jammu and Kashmir has been completely shut down for about 20 days due to annual maintenance of machines.
"Sewa-ll Power Station (120 MW) in Jammu & Kashmir has been completely shut down for attending annual maintenance of machines/MIVs for about 20 days w.E.F. December 7, 2015," the company said in a filing to the BSE.

The LNG-fired plant will be located near Kochi and will provide much-needed peaking power to Kerala, the company said in a press release.
According to the statement, the contract was awarded in June, and the power station, delivered on a turn-key basis, is expected to be commissioned by April 2017.
This is the first dedicated peaking power station ordered by a state utility, it added.

IRB Infrastructure Developers to start toll collection * IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd today said its arm has been issued a provisional completion certificate by the Competent Authority and has started toll collection from Sunday.
"IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway Pvt Ltd (SPV) - wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, has been issued a provisional completion certificate by the competent authority on December 4. Consequently, the SPV has started toll collection on NH-8 arm of this project from December 6 2015," the company said in a statement.
Uttar Pradesh distributes 50 lakh LED bulbs under DELP scheme
* Uttar Pradesh has become the third state having distributed over 50 lakh LED bulbs under the Centre's ambitious DELP scheme, Power Minister Piyush Goyal said.
Under the Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (DELP), 3.56 crore LED bulbs have been distributed by state-run Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL).
According to the DELP portal, Andhra Pradesh has distributed 1.19 crore LED bulbs followed by Maharashtra where 52.87 lakh such light have been provided to consumers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the DELP scheme in January, which would be executed across 100 cities. Through this scheme, residential consumers are provided with high quality LED bulbs given at a concessional rate of Rs 100-105 against the market price of Rs 350-450.

HeyBiz raises seed fund from ShopClues
* HeyBiz, a real time shopping assistant app, today said it has raised seed funding from eCommerce firm ShopClues.
The details of the funding were not disclosed.
The investment will be directed towards enhancing the product further while expanding its market base in cities across India, HeyBiz said in a statement.
Launched in January this year, the HeyBiz app connects customers with local businesses by its sales-marketing-support (SMS) mobile platform.
"We intend to expand into newer geographies like Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Lucknow and Jaipur," HeyBiz founder and CEO Bhartesh Chhibbar said.

Technology centre to be set up at Kanpur * Ministries of MSME, Textiles and the National Textile Corporation (NTC)today signed a tripartite agreement to set up a Technology Centre at Kanpur.

Built in 1923, Bombay House was designed by the British architect George Wittet, who also designed the Gateway of India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and the Institute of Science.
