NIA officials hold meeting with Bihar police

National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials today held a meeting with Bihar Police here to expand the knowledge of state officials about cracking a case speedily.

State police chief Abhyanand said the meeting did not discuss any specific case but deliberated on the national and international ways of investigating police cases.

"It aimed at expanding the knowledge of state officials about investigation into cases," he said.

Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) Ravindra Kumar said DIG NIA Sanjeev Kumar Singh and SP Vikash Vaibhav gave power-point presentation on the functioning of NIA.

He said officials of the Directorate of Enforcement had also visited Bihar last month to impart information about the latest in the investigation into a crime case.
 

The meeting between Bihar police officials and NIA is considered important in view of the fact that NIA has made trips to the state in search of many an accused in incidents of terrorism in the country.
