The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will probe into the case of B Narayana and Satyanarayan Reddy, associates of dreaded CPI (Maoist) central committee member Sudhakar Reddy, an official release said here.

B Narayana and Satyanarayan Reddy were arrested on August 30 this year near Patel Chowk in Ranchi city and the police had recovered about Rs 25 lakh and 473 gram gold, PAN card, Aadhaar card and driving license from the duo. A case was registered against them with the Chutia police station.

The government has given approval to the NIA probe, the release said.

Prima facie, this case appears to be related to terrorism and money laundering and linked to inter-state CPI (Maoist), the release said.

According to police, B Narayana said he is the younger brother of Sudhakar Reddy while Satyanarayan said he is Sudhakars business partner.
