Nickel and tin drops on reduced demand

Nickel and tin prices dropped further at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amid reduced demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, zinc and lead also softened following lower demand from alloy industries.

While, copper and brass utensils scrap gained further owing to good demand from industrial users.

Nickel prices fell by Rs 11 per kg to Rs 774 from Tuesday's close Rs 785 and tin prices slid by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,410 as against Rs 1,420 yesterday.

Zinc prices moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 194 as compared Rs 196 and lead inched down to Rs 138.
 

However, copper cable scrap and copper wire bar edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 363 and Rs 391 from Rs 361 and Rs 389 previously.

Copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper sheet cuttings and brass utensils scrap inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 357, Rs 348, Rs 342 and Rs 275 respectively.
