Nickel and tin prices slip on lower demand

Nickel and tin slipped at the non- ferrous metal market here today following stockists selling amidst lower demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, zinc and lead also eased further owing to sluggish demand from alloy industries.

While, copper prices recovered due to renewed demand from industrial users.

Nickel declined by Rs 35 per kg to Rs 795 from Wednesday's close Rs 830 and tin prices moved down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,355 as against Rs 1,360, yesterday.

Zinc and lead softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 235 and Rs 166.

However, Copper cable scrap and copper billets gained by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 438 and Rs 466 as against Rs 435 and Rs 463.
 

Copper armiture, copper utensils and copper sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 406, Rs 380 and Rs 401 as compared Rs 404, Rs 378 and Rs 399 respectively.

Copper armiture inched up to Rs 426 per kg.
