Nickel and tin slips on poor offtake

Nickel and tin slipped at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists selling amidst poor offtake from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, copper, brass sheet cuttings, aluminium and lead declined owing to subdued demand from industrial users.

Nickel fell by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,670 from Wednesday's close at Rs 1,680 and nickel decreased by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 890 as against Rs 900 yesterday.

Brass sheet cuttings moved down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 325 as compared Rs 328 yesterday.

Aluminium ingots and lead edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 141 and Rs 150 from yesterday's close Rs 143 and Rs 152.
 

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper wire bar and alumiunium utensils softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 402, Rs 397, Rs 380, Rs 430 and Rs 117, respectively.
