Nickel futures traded 0.25 per cent lower at Rs 606.10 per kg today amid a weakening trend at domestic spot markets on sluggish demand from alloy-makers.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in current month shed Rs 1.50, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 606.10 per kg in a business turnover of 673 lots.

Metal for delivery in May was also trading lower by Rs 1.50, or 0.24 per cent, at Rs 612.10 per kg in a turnover of 105 lots.

Market analysts said the fall in nickel prices at futures trade was mostly in tune with a weak trend in other base metals

at the domestic spot markets on low demand from alloy-makers.
