Nickel prices on Monday fell 1.57 per cent to Rs 908 per kg in futures trade after participants trimmed their positions amid weak demand in spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for March delivery ease by Rs 14.50, or 1.57 per cent, to Rs 908 per kg with a business turnover of 3,270 lots.

Similarly, nickel contracts for April delivery dropped by Rs 13.30, or 1.45 per cent, to Rs 904.30 per kg in 58 lots.

Analysts said subdued demand in spot market mainly led to fall in nickel prices here.
