Nickel prices on Wednesday fell by Rs 5.20 to Rs 907 per kg in futures trade due to reducing of positions by speculators amid subdued demand at the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for February delivery fell by Rs 5.20, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 907 per kg with a business turnover of 9 lots.
Similarly, nickel contracts for March delivery dropped by Rs 11.20, or 1.22 per cent, to Rs 909.90 per kg in 3,251 lots.
Analysts said subdued demand at spot market mainly led to fall in nickel prices here.
