Nickel futures edged higher by 0.27 per cent to Rs 868.10 per kg today amid firm demand from alloy makers at domestic spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, April contracts of Nickel rose by Rs 2.30, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 868.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 84 lots.
Metal for delivery in March traded higher by Rs 2, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 860.20 per kg, with a turnover of 733 lots.
Marketmen attributed the rise in nickel prices at futures trade to a firm demand from consuming industries, especially alloy makers, and gains at the London Metal Exchange.
