Nickel gains by 0.3% on positive global cues

Speculators enlarged positions on positive cues from global markets

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Nickel prices rose 0.31% to Rs 802 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions on positive cues from global markets.

Besides, increased demand from alloy-makers in the domestic spot market, supported the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 2.50, or 0.31%, to Rs 802 per kg in a business turnover of 15 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in April traded higher by Rs 2.20, or 0.28%, to Rs 794 per kg in 731 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in nickel futures to a firm global trend and pick up in demand form alloy-makers in the spot markets.
