Nickel prices edged up by 0.79 per cent to Rs 840.60 per kg in futures trading today as speculators built up fresh positions after firm demand from alloy makers.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in February went up by Rs 6.60, or 0.79 per cent, to Rs 840.60 per kg in business turnover of 3,835 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in March was trading higher by Rs 4.90, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 843.10 per kg in 105 lots.
