Nickel futures grow 2.50% on spot demand

Supported by rising demand from alloy makers in domestic spot markets, nickel prices moved up by 2.50 per cent to Rs 820.10 per kg in futures trade today as participants widened positions.

Nickel for delivery in the current month moved up by Rs 20, 2.50 per cent, to Rs 820.10 per kg in a business turnover of 8,890 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.

Analysts attributed the rise in nickel prices in futures trade to rising demand from alloy makers in the spot market.
