Amid profit-booking by speculators, nickel prices fell 1.38 per cent to Rs 806.50 per kg in futures market today.
Also, tepid demand from consuming industries in the domestic spot market weighed on prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in January was down Rs 11.30, or 1.38 per cent, to Rs 806.50 per kg in a business turnover of 3,175 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in February eased Rs 11, or 1.34 per cent, to Rs 811.70 per kg in 102 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in prices to profit-booking at existing levels by participants and a weak trend in spot market due to subdued demand from alloy-makers.
