Press Trust of India New Delhi
Nickel prices softened by 1.23 per cent to Rs 735.90 per kg in futures trading today as participants cut down their holdings amid demand from consuming industries at spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in November fell by Rs 9.20, or 1.23 per cent to Rs 735.90 per kg in a business turnover of 2,651 lots.

On similar lines, the metal for delivery in December moved down by Rs 9, or 1.20 per cent to Rs 740.80 per kg in 76 lots.

Market analysts attributed the fall in nickel prices in futures trade to muted demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
