Nickel prices were down by 0.78 per cent to Rs 925.50 per kg in special Muhurat trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange today as participants booked profits to mark the start of Samvat year 2071.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, Nickel for delivery in October declined by Rs 7.30, or 0.78 per cent to Rs 925.50 per kg in business turnover of 1498 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in November traded lower by Rs 6.60, or 0.70 per cent to Rs 933.90 per kg in 92 lots.
Market participants said profit-booking by speculators, who opened their new accounts on the first session of Samvat year 2071, mainly influenced nickel prices at futures trade.
