Nickel prices rose 0.52 per cent at Rs 692.50 per kg in futures market today after speculators widened bets amid industrial metals rising at the spot market on increased demand from alloy makers.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in current month gained Rs 3.60, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 692.50 per kg in a business turnover of 1,139 lots.

In a similar manner, the metal for delivery in November was trading higher by Rs 3.50, or 0.50 per cent, to Rs 698.20 per kg in 38 lots.

Analysts said, the base metals rising at the domestic spot markets from alloy-makers, supported uptrend in nickel futures here.
