Nickel prices plunged in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on sustained stockist selling amid subdued demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, tin also slipped followed by select copper and brass owing to lower offtake from industrial users.
On the global front, nickel tumbled to near six year lows in early trade at the LME, on the back of momentum selling and was set to end the month down nearly 10 percent, as weak stainless steel demand and record supply pummelled prices.
