Nickel prices slip on subdued demand

Nickel prices slipped at the non- ferrous metal market here today following stockists' buying amid good demand from industrial users.

Meanwhile, copper and select brass declined owing to subdued offtake from alloy industries.

Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 685 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 690.

However, copper utensil scrap and copper sheet cutting rose by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 362 and Rs 382 as against Rs 359 and Rs 379, respectively.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar moved up Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 396, Rs 392 and Rs 424 as compared to Rs 394, Rs 390 and Rs 422, respectively.
 

Brass utensils scrap edged-up by a Re per kg to Rs 308.
