Nickel rebounds on renewed demand

Nickel prices rebounded at the non-ferrous metals market here today due to stockists buying amid renewed demand from alloy industries.

While, select copper, brass, zinc and lead prices slipped following lower offtake from industrial users.

Nickel climbed by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 720 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 715.

However, copper utensils scrap fell by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 351 as against Rs 355 previously.

Copper cables scrap, Copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 389, Rs 383, Rs 417 and Rs 280 from Rs 391, Rs 385, Rs 419 and Rs 282, respectively.
 

Copper armiture, zinc, lead softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 376, Rs 168 and Rs 135.
