Nickel recovers on scattered demand

Nickel prices edged higher by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today on mild demand from consuming industries.

Traders attributed the rise in nickel prices to some demand from alloy-makers at the domestic spot market.

In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) traded higher by Rs 2 to Rs 885-888 per kg.

Following are today's metal's rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 137-143, nickel plate (4x4) Rs 885-888, gun metal scrap Rs 227, bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 426, chadri deshi Rs 295.

Lead ingot Rs 140, lead imported Rs 147, aluminium ingots Rs 168, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 164, aluminium wire scrap Rs 164 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 162.
