Nickel, select copper recover on renewed demand

Nickel, copper armature and copper utensils scrap recovered modestly at the non-ferrous market here today on stockists buying amid renewed demand from alloy industries.

While, tin, zinc and copper sheet cutting prices eased further owing to reduced offtake from consuming industries.

Nickel rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 700 from Saturday's closing level of Rs 695.

Copper armature and copper utensils scrap edged-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 366 and Rs 344.

However, tin fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,290 as against Rs 1,295 previously.

Copper sheet cutting and zinc softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 164 and Rs 361, respectively.
