Nickel slipped on subdued demand

Nickel prices slipped at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists selling amid subdued demand from alloy industries.

Meanwhile, select copper prices eased further due to lower offtake from industrial users.

Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 795 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 800.

Copper cables scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature and copper wire bar softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 378, Rs 372, Rs 360 and Rs 406, respectively.

Brass sheet cutting and zinc edged-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 277 and Rs 185.
