Nickel slips on sluggish demand

Nickel, copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper billets slipped marginally at the non- ferrous metal market here today following stockists selling amidst sluggish demand from industrial users.

While, tin and zinc moved up owing to good demand from alloy industries.

Nickel declined by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 840 from Thursday's close Rs 845.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper billets softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 450, Rs 441 and Rs 478, respectively.

However, tin gained by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,355 as compared to yesterday's close Rs 1,350 and zinc inched up per kg to Rs 241.
