Nickel prices edged up 0.09 per cent to Rs 850 per kg in futures trade Thursday amid pick-up in demand from alloy-makers at domestic spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel to be delivered in May contracts was trading higher by 80 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 850 per kg with a turnover of 13,482 lots.
Analysts said, expansion of positions by traders tracking pick-up in demand from alloy-makers mainly supported nickel prices here.
