Nickel strengthens on stockists buying

Nickel prices went up by Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on sustained buying by stockists following pick up in demand from consuming industries.

Traders said sustained buying by stockists on the back of pick up in demand from alloy makers at domestic spot market mainly kept nickel prices higher.

In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) rose by Rs 3 to Rs 795-805 per kg, respectively.

Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 100-106, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 795-805, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 346, chadri deshi Rs 295.
 

Lead ingot Rs 92, lead imported Rs 98, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148.
