Nickel, tin spurt on heavy demand

The industrial metal traded narrow in thin trade over US lawmakers talks towards resolution to avert fiscal cliff.

Nickel and tin surged by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,115 and 1,410 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,105 and Rs 1,400.

Brass and lead also inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 333 and Rs 128.

However, copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and brass utensils scrap all moved down by a rupee per kg each to Rs 491, Rs 481, Rs 469, RS 519, Rs 464 and Rs 321, respectively.
