Press Trust of India New Delhi

Nickel prices were down by 1.02 per cent in futures market Monday after traders cut down their holdings, driven by sluggish demand in the spot markets.

The November rates of nickel fell by Rs 8.30, or 1.02 per cent to trade at Rs 808.40 per kg with a business turnover of 1,494 lots.

Analysts said off-loading positions by participants on the back of tepid demand from alloy-makers in the physial market , led to the fall in nickel prices at futures trade.
