Rapper Nicki Minaj was presented with the key to her native place, Queens, New York for her enriching contribution in the field of music.
Minaj, 34, was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, but raised in South Jamaica, Queens.
The popular hip-hop artiste took to Twitter to share the news with her fans and followers where she posted a picture of the key and a card that accompanied it, bestowed upon her by Queens Borough president, Melinda Katz.

The card read, "Key To The City... From the office of Melinda Katz, The Queens Borough President presented to Onika Tanya Maraj PKA Nicki Minaj for outstanding career achivements in music."
According to Billboard, a number of rappers such as Fabolous, Big Sean and Drake, among others, have also been bestowed the keys of their hometowns.
