Press Trust of India New Delhi

Nickel prices fell by another 0.17 per cent to Rs 817.60 per kg in futures trade Wednesday as speculators booked profits amid subdued demand at the domestic spot market.

In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in current month traded lower by Rs 1.40, or 0.17 per cent at Rs 817.60 per kg in a business turnover of 206 lots.

Analysts said apart from profit-booking by speculators, a weak trend at the spot markets due to low demand form alloy-makers, weighed on nickel prices at futures trade here.
