Hollywood star Nicole Kidman's Blossom Films and Bruna Papandrea's Made Up Stories have bought the film and television rights to "Nine Perfect Strangers," the upcoming novel from "Big Little Lies" author Liane Moriarty.
According to Variety, Kidman will star in the project and also executive produce it along with Per Saari for Blossom Films, while Papandrea will executive produce with Steve Hutensky for her banner. Moriarty will also serve as executive producer.
At this stage, the companies have not announced whether they are eyeing a feature film, television movie or limited series adaptation.
Kidman, Saari and Papandrea served in the same capacity on the seven-episode HBO adaptation of "Big Little Lies," which won eight Emmys in the limited series categories.
The network subsequently ordered a second season, which is currently in production and will premiere in 2019.
