The incident occurred yesterday around 1 PM when CISF officials found the activities of a foreign national, identified as Chinazor F Mbalughi (38), as suspicious following which he was taken for a thorough frisking.

The CISF said ten capsules containing Cocaine were allegedly recovered from the handbag of Mbalughi (38), who had arrived at the domestic terminal to take a flight to Mumbai.

The Nigerian national was subsequently handed over by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials to anti-narcotics sleuths, who later arrested him.

In an another incident at the airport on December 21, the CISF arrested two ground handling staff for allegedly stealing foreign currency from the registered baggage of a passenger.
