Nigerian man nabbed for drunk driving

A 27-year-old Nigerian national was today caught while he was allegedly driving in a drunken state here, police said.

During its drive against drunk driving conducted by Banjara Hills traffic police in the early hours today, one Hassain, a student and resident of Alkapuri area here, was found driving his vehicle in a drunken state in Banjara Hills, Traffic Inspector C Umamaheshwar said.

A case under section 185 (drunken driving) of Motor Vehicle Act was lodged against Hassain and he was released on personal bond with a direction to attend mandatory counselling session, ACP Sheikh Masoom Pasha said, adding, he will subsequently be prosecuted to court.
 

At the time of the incident some occupants of the vehicle driven by Hassain, got down and were seen "misbehaving" with TV camerapersons.

As per TV grabs, one Nigerian woman allegedly hit a cameraman.
