Delhi Police has arrested a Nigerian national for his alleged involvement in drug peddling and claimed to have unearthed a network selling party drugs, including Meow Meow, cocaine and LSD, across Mumbai, Goa and the national capital.

Police said that a drug addict approached them yesterday and tipped off about Femi Elihja, a native of Nigeria, who was also allegedly associated with a drug racket busted by Delhi Police in October last year.

The police recovered a mix of cocaine and methaqualone, worth around Rs 1.22 crore in the international market, from Elihja's possession, DCP (North) Madhur Verma said.

During interrogation, Elihja told police that he had came to India in 2011 and lost his passport, owing to which he could not return to his country.

Later, he got involved in a drug smuggling racket. "A team is tracking down the network. Efforts are on to nab the other accused," Verma added.
