Over 8,000 women marched in Nigeria's northern state of Zamfara, seeking the government's assistance to enable them to get married.
The Zamfara Widows Association went to the headquarters of a religious police, Hizbah, stating that they are facing difficulty in finding husbands.
Traditionally women need to provide furniture for the marital home, but this is too expensive for some of those seeking husbands.
