NIIT to train over 5,000 Airports Authority of India employees

Skills and talent development firm NIIT today said it has partnered with Airports Authority of India (AAI) for providing instructor-led class room training to over 5,000 employees from AAI.

The training programme aims to make the employees computer literate and internet savvy, a statement said.

Under the agreement, NIIT will impart training to the employees of AAI in MS-Office and Internet & System introduction, it added.

NIIT will provide both theory and hands on practical sessions to the students. The first batch will comprise of 1,500 employees from AAI.

"We live in a digital age and it is imperative for every individual to have basic knowledge of computers and internet to be able to function and service customers better. We will help to improve the computer competency of the employees of AAI and make them technologically aware and internet savvy," NIIT Group President Skills and Careers Group Shivan Bhargava said.
 

Rajiv Goel, Executive Director (Training) at AAI said the training will be imparted to the group A, B and C category to have better efficiency/productivity at workplace.

The training program will be instructor-led, delivered in English across various AAI centres in the country.

The session for each batch will be for a span of five days for eight hours per day.
