Nine empty shells of claymore mines were found during a combing operation by Border Security Force (BSF) in Narayanpatna block of Odisha's Maoist-affected Koraput district today. Police said the BSF personnel spotted the empty mine shells in a forested area near Talarenga village at around 7 am and seized them.

Maoist belongings were also seized from the area. "There was no explosive inside the mines. The Maoists could have used the iron pipes in preparing claymore mines," the police added.
